Second Sunday of Lent
Jefferson St. Joseph – Retreat for adults and high school youth with a light meal, at 11:15 a.m. Father Ries will be presenting a short talk on the Prodigal Son.
Storm Lake St. Mary – Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The Pancakes will be served by the Kiwanis Beavers. There are no pre-sales of tickets. Meals will be $6 for adults, $4 for children 6-11 years old, free for 5 years and younger. The family fee is $15. Carryouts will be available for the same price as eating in. The menu includes pancakes, sausage and a drink. Proceeds will benefit St. Mary School.


Monday, March 1

Sioux City St. Boniface – Annulment Workshop, at 6:30 p.m., 703 W 5th St. in the St. Francis Room. Anyone who would like to learn more about the annulment process in the Catholic Church is invited to attend. Father Michael Erpelding of the Tribunal of the Diocese of Sioux City will lead the workshop.

Scranton St. Paul – Lenten Mass and Soup Dinner will be held March 4th and 18th, at 6 p.m. On one of the evenings Fr. McLoud will give a preview of some of the changes in the parts of the Mass that are coming in the future and on another evening he will give a brief presentation on the topic: Haunted - a difference Between Heaven and Hell. All are welcomed to join them.

Akron St. Patrick – Knights of Columbus pancake and sausage breakfast, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Cost $5, join them for good food.
Fort Dodge Corpus Christi - Mass is broadcast every Sunday on KVFD AM 1400 for the ill and the homebound at 8:30 a.m.
Humboldt St. Mary - Coffee and rolls, after 10 a.m. Mass.
Sioux City Blessed Sacrament - Mass is broadcast every Sunday on KSCJ AM 1360 for the ill and homebound at 9 a.m.
Sheldon St. Patrick – Annual Fun and Fund Day Celebration at the NCC Campus in Sheldon. A major fund-raising activity for the school and a time to celebrate with food, music, auction, raffles, games and many other activities. Food stand opens at 10:30 a.m., school program at 1 p.m. followed by auction. Bake sale also held.
Sioux City St. Boniface - Men’s Club Breakfast serving all you can eat French toast, pancakes, eggs, sausage from 7 to 11:30 a.m. in parish hall. Adults $5, children under 10 $3, family $15.
